I'm so glad that The Simpsons points out the gaping plot holes, mindless storylines, and complete lack of character history in each of its episodes; otherwise, I wouldn't realize that a) I'm watching a TV show; and b) it sucks. And, even if I did become aware of these facts, I would feel guilty about acknowledging them without permission.
